The Tsunami Keeper Project
Sending 5,000 Keepers from New England to Asia
What is a Keeper Box?
A Keeper Box starts with a square Sandwich Keeper from Tupperware, a one-piece, crush-proof, waterproof, hinged, plastic container that latches securely. When this humble box is filled with essential, personal care items, it becomes a Keeper Box. When a person who has lost everything is given this little Box, they receive more than shampoo, soap, and toothpaste. They receive a message of hope, care, and love. The Keeper Project is a small way to send a big message: “You matter. We care.”
How Can I Help?
- Pray that each Keeper Box will be a small source of comfort to a person who has suffered such a devastating trauma and loss. Pray that sufficient supplies will be donated and that the packing and distribution of the Keepers will go smoothly.
- Donate travel & sample-size items, plus other needed items:
- Ask others to donate items: Friends, neighbors, family, groups, co-workers, hotels and motels, dentists, businesses, churches, schools, clubs, etc.).
